SIL pays for the people, not the property. Rent, board, food and bills are paid separately, usually from the Disability Support Pension. If accessible housing itself is the issue, that is a separate conversation about SDA or home modifications.

Funding is based on a roster of care: how much support is needed across a typical week, whether staff are needed overnight, and whether that overnight support is sleepover or active. Those decisions drive the cost far more than the address does.
