What it is
Alzheimer's support typically includes personal care, memory and cognitive support, predictable routines, safe environments, respite and — when needed — residential care.
Who it's for
People living with Alzheimer's and their families. Most are aged 65+ and access aged-care funding; younger-onset Alzheimer's may qualify for the NDIS.
Home Care Package pathway
Higher-level Home Care Packages (Level 3 or 4) are typically used to fund ongoing in-home support for people with Alzheimer's.
NDIS pathway (under 65)
If Alzheimer's is diagnosed before age 65, NDIS access may be possible. Supports include support workers, behaviour support and OT.
